BokRobot

About BokRobot

BokRobot is a hobby project that automatically collects legally available books and stories from the web and turns inconsistent source material into structured, readable books. The goal is to make the material as easy and accessible to read as possible, with a calm reading surface, clear navigation and careful modernization of difficult old language.

About the books in the library

BokRobot focuses on open sources and material that can legally be used. Close-to-original, modernized, translated and compressed editions are distinguished clearly and linked to the original work.

From the library

See what BokRobot has made easier to read

These examples come directly from the fairy tales, children's books, full books and stories in the library.

Made for the reader

Clear navigation, bookmarks, a calm interface and frequent illustrations in shorter texts make the material easier to read.

Legal material from the web

Automated collection, often called scraping, gathers material from open sources, mainly older works that can legally be used.

From raw web text to structure

Sources are cleaned and rebuilt as a book model with title, author, chapters, reading pages, metadata, editions and source references.

Modernized language and translation

Difficult older language can be updated carefully, and works can be translated without erasing their meaning, tone or character.

Classics in a more readable format

Long and demanding classics can be compressed into shorter editions while preserving the central story, coherence, tone and humanity.

A project in development

BokRobot is under active development. More texts, pages and features will be translated, improved and expanded continuously as the project grows.

Quality throughout

From an online source to a readable classic

The work does not stop when the text is collected. The material must be cleaned, structured, checked and presented well. Modernized, translated or compressed editions should remain credible versions of the original work.
